In 1994 the Government of Maharashtra and the Directorate of Technical Education, gave permission to Navodaya Shikshan Sanstha to start Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic on “No Grant – in – Aid” basis which has been recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

The Institution have successfully completed 18 years of its tenure and most of the students will be absorbed in various jobs & higher studies.

The institute has its own centrally located campus which includes its own building, with all amenities and labs and an adjoining playground at Rajiv nagar, wardha Road, Nagpur . The premises is about 6 Km. from Sitabuldi Railway Station, 3 Km. from Ajni Railway station, 7 Km. from Bus stand and 2 Km. from International Airport and can be reached by any available conveyances from these places. The national Highway No. 7 i.e. Wardha Road almost passes from our premises.

The polytechnic has all the amenities and is well equipped with furniture, equipments, laboratories, library and workshop and to add the above a well qualified and experienced staff.
